In Swinburne KCH + Happy belated b'day, Ashley Ho!

I'm currently in Swinburne KCH having Context And Culture class in the Computer Lab. Since I'm having a short break right now from the fact that my Context And Culture class is 4 hours today, I'm taking this opportunity to spend my time blogging rather than being bored doing nothing. BTW, I had just started my Foundation In Design course 4 days ago, which was on Monday (March 23rd). I can't talk much about my life in college yet 'cuz it's only my 1st week. The 5 subjects I take in my course (excluding M'sian studies & Moral studies 'cuz I'm not sure when they're gonna start these 2 subjects) are English And Communication Skills (Part 1 'cuz it's my 1st semester & will be having Part 2 on the 2nd semester.), Information Technology, General Maths, Innovation And Change, & lastly, Context And Culture (mainly for Design students). BTW, I did not choose to take 5 subjects for myself 'cuz these subjects are actually compulsory for my course. The same number of subjects goes to the other 3 foundation courses (Engineering/ Science, Business & IT/ Multimedia). Heard that the M'sian studies & the Moral studies will start on this November for the March intake Foundation students, not sure whether I got the facts right or not, so I need to ask the Admin Counter for more info. This week in college is basically about introduction to the subjects & the new students from various schools. FYI, I'm in the same class with Charlene, Desmond & Wayne in Innovation And Change, which was kinda surprising to me. Well...at least there are a few Lodgians in my class, then I'm happy about it. I'll be having General Maths exam on the April 18th, gotta study hard to get at least a credit 'cuz I don't wanna resit for failed subjects. Resiting for a failed subject is expensive where it costs you around hundred bucks, & it also wastes your time to repeat your failed subject where you're s'pose to go to the next level (if you know what I mean).

Finally, I'd also like to wish Ashley H a Happy Belated 18th b'day since her real b'day is on the March 25th. Hope you have a nice day, b'day girl. =)

Back from S'pore (2)

Just came back from S'pore yesterday afternoon. No pics taken BTW 'cuz I didn't bring my camera. Even if I had brought my camera, there's nothing interesting to take any pics there since I only went there to do some shopping. FYI, I went to S'pore on Sunday (March 15th) & stayed there for 4 days 3 nights. Here's an article about the 35 straight As scorers of Lodge in SPM 2008 I read in Borneo Post (March 15th) before I leave to the airport...Only Yasmin (left) & Chang Mien's (right) have their individual pics from the Great Wall photoshoot last year posted up in the Borneo Post since both of them took 12 subjects where they took 1 additional subject of their own & scored straight A1s, whereas the other 16 straight A1s scorers only have their names posted up since they didn't take any additional subject.

Will be going for Swinburne KCH's orientation tomorrow & on Saturday. Not sure how's the orientation gonna be like though & hopefully it will turn out ok, so fingers crossed.

Blogging from Brisbane

Just arrived in Brisbane last night at around 6 something (M'sian time). FYI, Brisbane is 2 hours ahead of M'sia so I can say that I arrived there at around 8 something. I'm currently in Hazel's BF's rented house using his laptop 'cuz her internet's not working. Gotta say that Brisbane now is hot on day & cooling at night. Didn't do anything much today except for shopping, watching TV, reading my mags & napping. I just heard that Victoria is having bushfires since the weather there is very hot & dry. I just wanna wish everyone a happy early Chap Goh Mei (9th February) & a happy early Valentine's Day (14th February) 'cuz I'm not sure when will Hazel's internet be fixed. If it's still not fixed, I'm also unsure when she will bring me to her BF's house to borrow his laptop just for the sake of updating my blog. Will try my best to update my blog whenever I can & have a nice weekend, everyone.

Back from Shantou & Xiamen, China

Just came back from Shantou & Xiamen last night. The trip was alright but not that enjoyable. The ppl there like to spit everywhere & the air pollution is very bad where ppl smoke in air conditioned rooms. When I was in the restaurant with my family, I saw some men smoking on the other table. I was like "OMG, are you freaking kidding me? Smoking in air conditioned rooms?" o.O" Talk about indoor air pollution. =.=" Not only that, most of the motorcyclists don't even wear their helmet at all & the traffic police don't even bother to catch them despite the fact that those motorists are going against the law. Some of the ppl there are really rude where 1 time, there was this old lady just push 1 of my cousins just because my cousin was blocking her way & she didn't even bother to say "excuse me" & apologize. Talk about bitchiness. =___="

I'm sorry if I sound very offensive or anything, but I'm NOT BEING RACIST OR DISCRIMINATING the ppl in China. I just wish that those ppl can be more hygienic & polite so that I can feel comfortable when visiting their places. Gotta start packing soon for my Brisbane trip & that's all I can talk about my trip. Toodles.

Freedom from trials

Today's the end of mock SPM but I'm now having a dilemma as I'm worried about my results. I'll be practically screwed for my History, Add Maths & my 3 Science subjects. The worst part is that I might not be able to apply for my scholarship & hopefully they will accept me. At 1st, I really want to be a biologist so badly until I did not do well in my Science subjects last year. Since I'm afraid that I might not be able to catch up with the Science subjects in college, I changed my mind & decided to study Arts & Design & doing part time of Performing Arts & Linguistic. I can't be too free yet as there's 2 more months left to our final SPM.

That's all I can blog about today & will blog about Jeffrey's (who used to be my schoolmate back in my elementary school) b'day after their mock SPM where 1 of my ex-classmate in my elementary school has all the photos with me in it. Now that I lost my voice, I sound weird & like a guy when I talk due to the sore throat, cough, flu & blocked nose I had. I really need to have enough rest tonight since my mock is over. Gotta stop here right now & toodles.

Back from S'pore (1) + Great Wall photoshoot 2008

Just came back from S'pore yesterday & I saw Alyssa Chua in the airport with her mum, so we just end up chit chatting. Alyssa Chua told me that she went there & to Perth last week to see the colleges, universities & schools there, while I went there just to do some shopping to release stress & kill off my boredom. Nothing much to talk about & no pics taken in S'pore so I don't need to blog about it.

2 months ago, which was on the 19th April was my class, Form 5B's photoshoot at the Great Wall studio. Time flies as this is our final year in Lodge, but I can't wait for the school mag to see how the group pics & the individual pics look like & hope that it turns ok, so fingers crossed. Most of us had arrived between 2:00p.m to 2:30p.m until Franklin went missing on that day after walking around the streets with Joseph & Clement losing his handphone during the photoshoot. Despite all the mess, we managed to finish the photoshoot at around 5:30p.m to 6:00p.m. I'm too lazy to type so much so I'll let the pics to tell the whole story about it...Ashley Lee & I. He looks nice & tall. =) While I look fat & old in this pic -__-"

FYI, this is the original pic without him in it, whereas Andre was absent during the photoshoot due to his squash competition. The photographers photoshopped (spelling? *shrugs*) him inside this pic since he went to have his own photoshoot after going missing on the phototaking day. I don't have that pic with me so hope that the pic with him in it turns ok in the school mag.
