Stressed & tired + Happy b'day, Jesse & Shi Chun!

The hols are here since Saturday (16th August). It's so packed & stressful with tones of homework for our revision & to study for the coming trial SPM which will be held on the 8th September. AARRGGHH!! The stress level is rising & there's not enough time to rest. As the saying goes, "all work & no play makes Jack a dull boy".See this? It's so damn freaking much to do within this 1 week holiday. And worst still, I'm not really sure whether I have enough time to study for the coming mock exam & I'm like living in hell trying to complete this pile of work.Not only that, I also have Add Maths project to do this week. Although the dead line's on next Friday (29th August), I really need to complete this project as soon as possible & not to leave them to the last minute so that I can concentrate on my weak subjects for the coming exam.I'm so tired & stressed out right now that I want to pull my hair off juz like this lady on the pic above. I mean seriously, I can't really handle my stress well from all these work & the only way I can overcome is by reading my mags, blogging & watching Olympics on TV to reduce my stress level.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot it's Shi Chun (Shi Yin's lil' sis) & Jesse's b'day today. HAPPY B'DAY to the both of you & hope you have a nice day...=)

Happy b'day to me!

I was so excited 'cuz I'm finally turning 17 yesterday, that means I'm now legal to drive (if only I've passed). I haven't listen to the talk & sit for the law & driving tests so I can't be too excited about it until after SPM. I received some pressies from my cousin & my friends & here they are... A Spongebob glass in the box from my cousin, Vanessa. It looks cute, doesn't it? =)A nicely wrapped box from Shi Yin. LOVE the white daisies & the ladybirds with the blue ribbon tied on top of it & inside this box, it's...A green hair clip which I've always wanted since I can't find a nicer one in town. It looks so pretty with my most fave colour. Now that I've got it, I don't need to spend my time & my money to buy a new one...thx Shi Yin! ^_^A cute mini b'day card from Shi Yin. I wonder if anyone knows the name of this cartoon is 'cuz I want to change my background for my laptop with this cartoon.A package from Shi Yin. At 1st, I was clueless after reading her message that tell me to calm down & being patient until I open it... I received like a postcard or a whatever card it is from her which she got it from Ostrich. In case you nvr heard of Ostrich gift shop, it's located somewhere in front of SMB Kuching High. When I flipped it...There's a map to Ostrich & next to it was a b'day wish & a space for me to fill about the time I received the gift from her. I didn't fill it though 'cuz I forgot the time I received it but all I know is that I got that gift right after the Science extra class yesterday.Inside this package is a cute slipper photo frame. Pretty isn't it? =) A CJ7 doll from Soak Kian. It's so cute from the side view.

A gift from Ashley H & inside this gift, it's...A green autograph book wif the lock...LOVE the colour & the design. Thx Ash H, now I don't need to waste my energy to find a perfect autograph book in town...^_^
This is where I put my CJ7 doll since I don't have much space in my room as it was messy. Still can't figure the person who gave me the gigantic Spongebob last year though but it looks cute sitting together with CJ7 on top of my bookshelf. It looks as if CJ7 is kissing Spongebob on the cheeks & Spongebob seems lyk he's enjoying it. See the 4 photo frames in front? Those are my class photos taken in the Great Wall studio 4 months ago.

Last night, I went out with Vanessa, Ashley Ho, Shi Yin & my family to Hilton for dinner to celebrate my 17th b'day, but Soak Kian could not join us as she's busy. The dinner was awesome but no pics taken during dinner & my cake cutting though 'cuz I deleted them as I look so retard & I didn't bring my camera as it ran out of batteries. After dinner, we went home & I immediately went to my room with Shi Yin & Ashley Ho to watch Olympic badminton final where our world no. 2 & M'sian badminton player, Lee Chong Wei compete with Lin Dan of China. Sadly, Chong Wei ended up getting a silver medal while Lin Dan winning a gold medal. I feel bad 'cuz he looked very pressured & upset about his losing but he had tried his best to win for our country. At least M'sia now has a medal better than nothing at all & hope that in the coming London Olympics in 2012, he will continue to compete & win a gold medal for our country.

Finally, I'd like to thank my besties & my family for the b'day wishes & the wonderful pressies you had given to me. And also I'd like to wish Geraldine, Joyce & Sarah a happy 17th belated b'day. Enjoy your hols & have a nice day, ppl.

The blackout

Last night, there's a stupid blackout in the whole of S'wak. According to The Borneo Post today, Kuching was at struck 1st at 6 smth & the only places that were not affected by the blackout were the Kuching International Airport & the Sarawak General Hospital as they had their emergency supply. It all happened right after Ashley Ho & I had just finished doing the notes for the Moral presentation for this coming Wednesday in my house at around 6:20p.m. After she went home, the electicity hadn't resumed so my dad decided to bring my family to go out for dinner. At 1st, I thought the blackout only occur in my housing area until I was shocked to see that the whole city was in darkness except for Ting Pek King's house, which has generators to generate electricity. Since the restaurants were dark, my dad drove us for fun to see houses around us for about an hour. After an hour of sitting in my dad's car, we happened to pass by the housing area that has electricity (don't know the name for that road, which is a shortcut to that area that can go to the BDC Everrise), so we all quickly went to Hainan Street Chicken Rice to have our dinner. After ordering our food, the lights went off again & we ended up eating our dinner in darkness but with the help of the candles to light the whole restaurant. We went home after dinner & the electricity still hadn't resumed. My cousins later came to my house to have a lil' chit chat & whereas for me, I talked to Ashley Ho, Shi Yin & Danielle Zoe on my phone. Few minutes passed & finally the electricity was back. I was relieved so I went back to do my homework & watch the Olympics on TV. After an hour, my house was in darkness again & I started sweating my butt off. It was so freaking hot & I felt lyk dying in the desert. AARRGGHH!! I really HATE BLACKOUTS where I can't charge my handphone since it almost ran out of batteries. >.<><"

Beijing Olympics opening ceremony 2008

The Beijing Olympics had just started 2 nights ago on the 08/08/2008 at 8:08p.m. Talk about a lot of 8's! The opening ceremony was superb & amazing with all the athletes from a total of 203 countries marching in the stadium.See how beautiful it is? It looks breathtaking from the outside of the stadium. I was so sakai & amazed at the same time by the fireworks. I've been watching this opening ceremony for the whole night juz to take a break from doing my homework & overall, it was worth watching it.The opening ceremony in the Bird's Nest stadium

The funniest day in school

Yesterday, I was slightly late for Maths class after lunch when the bell rang for the 2nd time. Thank goodness that I arrived there on time where my classmates had just lined up & entered the classroom while Mr. Linus was waiting for all of us to get in there. After that, the lesson began as usual. As I was sitting in my place, I was wondering why did Ashley Ho & Shi Yin taking such a long time to enter the classroom. Around 10 to 15 minutes had passed & I saw them, who had just arrived at the doorstep & started chatting, not entering into the classroom. At 1st I thought that they should just immediately going into the class after knowing that they were late, but they just standing out there chatting & gossiping as if they're the "early birds" of the class. At this time, I tapped onto the window to call them but they didn't respond. I tried not to tap too loud on the window though or it'll be very disturbing to others. At this moment, the whole class started to burst into laughter as Ashley Ho & Shi Yin didn't know that the lesson had already started. I was laughing my head off in the class until Jordan had just entered the classroom. The others told Jordan not to enter 'cuz they didn't want these 2 girls to know that all of us were already in class. After few minutes had passed, Ashley Ho & Shi Yin entered the classroom while some of us were still laughing like crazy. It was embarrassing to them but hilarious to me & the others. After that, lessons were back to normal & we were all just doing our own homework. Then, Shi Yin told me that at 1st she thought that they were "early" for the class & lined up waiting for Mr. Linus to come until Ms. Siaw passed by & asked them why they were still lining up. She told her that Mr. Linus had not arrived in class so they just stood there waiting for him to come. She also told me that the 5C students were laughing so they just ignored them, but felt weird at the same time as Mr Linus had never came this late before. When looking at the time, they finally entered the class while the others & I were laughing. This time, they realized that the 5C students were laughing at them for lining up there like a fool. Thank goodness that I didn't follow them or I'll end up having that embarassing moment in my life. This was the funniest day ever happened to my class & I'll shall keep it as part of my memories. =P

Depression & disappointment

The test papers are back. Gotta say that this term is not so good. As ppl says that I try my best to do well in all the subjects taken. But the results are not that satisfactory & I just feel so disappointed about it.

Looks like everything I did is all messed up. The stress level is rising & I feel myself blowing into pieces. My heart breaks & I just can't help feeling guilty about myself even if I didn't do anything wrong. SPM trial exam is just around 2.5 months left & it's going to be our forecast result for the final SPM.

Oh well, gonna get prepare for my SPM English oral on this coming Tuesday. *Sigh* Can't blog much today though 'cuz I'm feeling depressed & moody right now. Emo me.

Smurfing

When I was reading my Girlpower mag (June 2008) while taking a break from studying for my Bio paper 3, I came across this article where they are going to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Smurfs. I was like "OMG, are you serious? The Smurfs are 50 years old already? You got to be kidding me." & all that kind of reactions. Talk about a very old cartoon which was created 50 years ago by Peyo (Pierre Culliford) in Belgium in 1958. That's the creator of The Smurfs. Sadly, he died of heart attack in 1992 at the age of 64. However, his cartoons are still famous around the world today. The Smurfs started out as a comic strip & then turned into a popular TV series. The big rumour in Hollywood is that a Smurfs movie is being planned for 2010...can't wait! =D The Smurfs were originally called Les Schtroumpfs in French- what a mouthful! Did you know that Smurfs are 3 apples high? Talk about short & small. They live in a lil' village full of mushroom-shaped houses & not only that, they turn yellow when they choke! The Smurfs never get older, so Baby Smurf will always be a baby & Papa Smurf will always be an old man! Here are some of The Smurfs characters below...

Papa Smurf. He is smart & is 542 years old! Now that's way too old & I wonder if someone can live until this long. Papa Smurf is the only Smurf who wears red, while the other Smurfs all wear white caps & white pants or in Smurfette's case, a white dress!

King Smurf. He is a regular Smurf whose actual name and position is never stated in the original adventure in which he is the titular main character. He simply assumes power in the absence of Papa Smurf and loses it when he returns. BTW, he looks cute & smurfarritic! =)

Smurfette (left), who is the only female Smurf until recently when Sassette Smurf (right) appeared in the village. Did you know that Smurfette was originally created by the mean sorcerer Gargamel to cause fights in the village? Luckily, Papa Smurf transformed Smurfette into the pretty & kind Smurf we know & love today. Both of these Smurfs look cute & smurftastic! ^_^

Gargamel, who is the evil sorcerer together with his cat, Azrael (named after the biblical angel of death). He is the Smurfnapper who captured a smurf which he needed as an ingredient for a potion to make gold (according to an old magic spell).

That's all I can "smurf" today 'cuz they are too many characters in there, but only can name a few of the special ones. Won't be updating that often as I'll be very busy preparing for SPM BM oral & English oral, but I'll try to update about my KK trip as soon as possible after getting the photo disc from Joseph whenever I'm free. Education talk (2008)

Today, we the students of Forms 4 & 5 were having free time in school as we were having a talk on Studying In The USA in the morning. What I mean by free is that we don't have much lessons today in school 'cuz we spent the whole day in school listening to all those talks & having educational fair on studying all sorts of courses in different colleges & universities. The talks & the fair are quite beneficial to me as I'm planning to go studying overseas to study Linguistic & maybe Arts & Design or Dentistry after taking my A-Level course. I'm planning to study French, Italian, Spanish, German & Portugese as I have a strong interest to become a translator in the future, but the only problem is that I can only lyk choose 1 of the languages I've mentioned above 'cuz I'm afraid that I might be very busy doing all sorts of research when going to uni & ended up not having enough time to study so many subjects on time. If only I have enough time to study all the languages I love, then it'll be good 'cuz it'll be easier for me to understand what the people in foreign countries above are talking about when doing business & stuffs. Whereas the talks in the afternoon is called the Lodge Alumni where the ex-Lodgians came to give a talk about their life experiences in colleges & universities. The unexpected comes where it turned out to be 1 of the ex-Lodgians is Phoebe's sis! It was kinda interesting listening to them talking about the courses they take & the courses available in their colleges & universities though, but kinda boring after going back to class as I have nth to do in class besides reading my fave story book during BM class at the last 2 period 'cuz Mr. Willie wasn't teaching at that time. I do have Add Maths homework & thank goodness it wasn't that much, so that I can do research on my English oral & studying for Bio paper 3. FYI, the Bio paper 3 has been postponed to Monday due to the talks above I had this morning. I was relieved 'cuz I'll be having more time to study for my Bio paper 3 on this coming Monday.

That's all I can talk about today. Gotta continue with my research on my English oral topic for this coming Monday & my Add Maths homework, toodles.

A lil' unsatisfied due to the spina bifida occulta (often called hidden spina bifida) I had since I was born which makes me unable to do sit ups & leg raising due to the pain when I'm doing them. I was considered lucky 'cuz that spinal condition of mine is mild where ppl who have this serious condition will be paralysed, having incontinence from neurogenic bladder & nerve damage. Overall, my life is ok so far but kinda stressful at times.
4. Are you confused of what lies ahead of you?
Well...erm...sort of...I guess.
5. What's your ideal lover like?
Personality of my ideal lover matters to me the most where he mustn't get involved in drugs, alcohol, rehab, scandals & crimes. Guys who are liars, arrogant, snobbish, smoke & trying to be someone else are the ultimate turn off! It's ok for me if I don't have one 'cuz being single is the coolest & the best.
6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Definitely both.

Betrayal & unacceptable behaviour.

Very far indeed.

Ppl destroying the environment & the habitat of the marine life & wildlife & the rising number of crimes, bullies & cyberbullies in our society. And of course, the stress I had as SPM is drawing near.

It's hard to pick one though 'cuz there're so many fairytales in the world. But I love Disney Fairies & Trollz 'cuz they're just too cute.

Back from S'pore (1) + Great Wall photoshoot 2008

Just came back from S'pore yesterday & I saw Alyssa Chua in the airport with her mum, so we just end up chit chatting. Alyssa Chua told me that she went there & to Perth last week to see the colleges, universities & schools there, while I went there just to do some shopping to release stress & kill off my boredom. Nothing much to talk about & no pics taken in S'pore so I don't need to blog about it.

2 months ago, which was on the 19th April was my class, Form 5B's photoshoot at the Great Wall studio. Time flies as this is our final year in Lodge, but I can't wait for the school mag to see how the group pics & the individual pics look like & hope that it turns ok, so fingers crossed. Most of us had arrived between 2:00p.m to 2:30p.m until Franklin went missing on that day after walking around the streets with Joseph & Clement losing his handphone during the photoshoot. Despite all the mess, we managed to finish the photoshoot at around 5:30p.m to 6:00p.m. I'm too lazy to type so much so I'll let the pics to tell the whole story about it...Ashley Lee & I. He looks nice & tall. =) While I look fat & old in this pic -__-"
